I'm Only Joking
Taking Anti Bullying Campaign into Essex Schools
We have been approached by Katharine Washbrook - Castle Point Association of Voluntary Services to support the development of a new Anti-bullying campaign for Be-safer.
The project is being steered by
Gloria Osbourne – Hyde In Touch Support
Other members of the team are:-
Kim Purdy – Hyde In Touch Support
Rob Lee – Drama Tutor/Braintree Mencap
Tony Morrell – Plume School / Maldon Pioneers
Chris Smith - Maldon Pioneers
The idea is to take an Anti-bullying campaign into secondary schools using Workshops & Drama directed and delivered by actors with various disabilities with a passion to tackle unkindness which is often directed at people with a disability both learning and physical. The planning and idea are still in the early stages and the team are currently engaged in the bidding process for funding.
The initial planning session on the 21st June 2011 in Braintree went well and many ideas put forward and everyone involved was united in what was needed. The actors have come away to think about the Drama pieces needed and other players have tasks to work on also. The Plume School in Maldon are going to be asked to be one of the pilot schools for the project and help to steer the project. The Plume can hopefully help with Media and Graphic Design expertise. The Maldon Pioneers can also contribute significantly! We are also pleased that our friends at Saint fm seem keen to help out too!

...it's only funny if everyone's laughing?
Plume School year 10 students have been asked to think about a logo-style for the campaign, I've posted one idea for consideration? Updates as we get them.
